Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Due to our product being a food item, all sales are strictly final and non refundable.

We encourage customers to taste and work with Origen Cacao before ordering a bulk bag.

Please note that we source our cacao from organic farms and the taste may change from time to time based upon different environmental factors. The taste and aroma of cacao may change from lot to lot. 

Please remember we are not a big corporation, but instead we are a community solely focused on the mission at hand. All customer service is still handled by Danielle, the Founder.

*NOTE ON MELTED CACAO: If you receive your cacao and it has melted back into paste/block form, please read the faq page for instructions. There are no refunds or exchanges for melted cacao, as it is entirely safe and up to par with our standards of taste, texture and quality.

Shipping & Lost Packages

Origen Cacao is not liable for lost or stolen packages. The risk of loss and ownership for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. 

It is your responsibility as a customer to provide the correct, deliverable, physical address for delivery. For undeliverable shipments returned to us, we will refund you for the product when and if it arrives undamaged & unopened. Please place another order in the meantime to your correct address.

After placing your order, please keep an eye out for your package delivery. Cacao left in a hot location will MELT. If your Cacao melts, don't worry, it is still useable and sacred.

International Shipping & Customs

Please know that shipments may be subject to import charges, which are the responsibility of the purchaser. Origen Cacao does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If your order does require these additional charges, they must be paid in order for your package to clear customs.
